It wouldn’t be runDisney without a wait!

Marathon Weekend last year was notoriously bugged and plagued with registration issues that left us hopeful runners at the edge of our seats for HOURS to see if we would get the chance to register, so what can we expect this year?

Marathon Weekend Registration is a short 3 weeks away already so it is safe to assume that we will likely see a similar process to that of today’s W&D registration.

Scheduled to open at 10AM EST, the first race to show “Register Now” was the 5k that actually popped up 5 minutes early, but just lead back to the event page and not to registration.

At 10:05AM EST, registration truly got underway and all races opened up. We ended up getting into a queue immediately with a over an hour wait time, and got in right around 11:23AM with no noticeable issues of any kind. By that time the 10k was sold out but all other races and challenges were able to be registered for.

Hopefully this is all a good sign for Marathon Weekend registration! W&D is the second most popular runDisney event, and especially with the beloved purple dragon Figment on the challenge, I’m sure traffic was high this morning for registration.
