What Isle of Berk means for Epic Universe

Universal has dropped a ton of new information on the new How To Train Your Dragon gateway in Epic Universe, coming next year, and it looks outstanding.  That might be putting it lightly.

Isle of Berk is going to house new heavily themed rides and attractions based off of the beloved franchise, including three new rides, a new stage show, the Mead Hall, and even a meet and greet with Toothless!

The rides coming to this land include Hiccup’s Wing Gliders coaster, Dragon Racer’s Rally, and Fyre Drill, which you can see and read more about here on Universal’s official page. I’m super excited to zip around the land on Wing Gliders, as I can easily see this coaster being a similar experience to Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, which is already one of my favorite coasters.

The Untrainable Dragon stage show will be making its way over from Universal Bejing and tell the story of a new dragon’s arrival in Berk, and the challenges presented to Hiccup, Gobber, and Astrid in this stunning live show.

The Mead Hall promises to bring a Viking’s feast to guests, with a hearty menu of meats, fish, and drinks including specialty meads, ciders, and ales.

So what does this all mean for Universal and their new Epic Universe in our opinion?  A LOT.

Anyone who has watched the How To Train Your Dragon movies knows how heartfelt this franchise is, and this land looks to be a beautiful representation of that heart brought to life.  Isle of Berk promises to connect fans, much like their Wizarding World lands have in both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, and I seriously cannot wait to visit the Isle of Berk for myself in 2025.

Which attraction are you most looking forward to at Epic Universe next year?  We will be posting more updates here as we learn more about the Isle of Berk in the coming months.
