Best AC Stops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

From Sunset Blvd to the streets of Batuu, Disney’s Hollywood Studios knows how to leave you baking in the Florida sun. So for this week’s #MagicMonday we are breaking down the best spots in Hollywood Studios for you to duck out of the summer heat and enjoy some much needed AC.

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood studios has had a huge glow-up in the past decade. From Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, to Toy Story Land, to fan favorites like the Hollywood Tower of Terror, there is no shortage of IP’s to draw your attention to this park. Studios does however have a reputation for being one of the less forgiving parks when it comes to heat.

Tower of Terror and Rockin’ Rollercoaster might be big ticket attractions, but both queues can leave you baking for the majority of your wait, depending on the crowd-levels.

Here are a few, more hidden gems to get your AC fix.

Smuggler’s Run

An absolutely right-of-passage for any longtime or upcoming Star Wars fan. Gone are the days of queues wrapping around the Falcon to get indoors on this attraction, so hopping into the line means going straight indoors. I may be a tad biased here, but a 30-45 minute queue in light AC with plenty of Star Wars props and lore to enjoy sounds great to me any day of the week.

Toy Story Mania!

If you find yourself in the center of the park, slip back behind Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and all the way back to the Toy Story area. This land is famous for its lack of shade, but hopping into Toy Story Mania! might just be the break you were looking for. Another well-decorated queue, TSM will keep your party out of the beating sun for 45-60 min, with a great ride at the end for the whole family.

Dining recommendations go to Oga’s Cantina and Sci-Fi Drive-In in this park. Two fantastic break options with great atmospheres and non-piggy bank breaking pricing!

Stay tuned to #MagicMonday while we break down the best breaks at the other parks during the dead heat of summer. What is your go-to Hollywood Studios AC break spot?
