2024’s New Changes for Disney World

This week’s #MagicMonday has us taking a quick review of the new changes announced for 2024 reservations at Walt Disney World!

I suppose most of these changes can be summed up in one word for us, FINALLY!!

The big one on here for us the the return of the Disney Dining Plan. Not that the DDP is a must-do for most families, but it is a great option to have, especially for those stressing over budgeting every snack and meal during their park days.

The removal of the Park Pass system is a little bitter-sweet though. On the one hand, it is obviously nicer for all guest to be able to purchase a ticket, for a date, and be able to use it at any park that they wish. On the other hand, it was nice to know your chosen park, likely wouldn’t be an absolute crowd of people (for the most part), and I would imagine it made managing Cast Members a lot more efficient. If Disney management knew there wasn’t going to be as many guests in one park today, they could staff them in more needed areas.

Planning ahead with Genie+ and Lighting Lanes will also bring back a lot of peace of mind for us over-planners, as we will once again be able to schedule our day out well ahead of time, instead of right in the moment.

We are greatly looking forward to these changes and to see what else is coming to the most magical vacation spot in the coming months. Stay tuned to #MagicMonday and we will be sure to keep you up to date as well!
