2024 Marathon Weekend theme is finally here!

Consider us surprised!! We would have bet any amount of money that the 2024 runDisney Marathon Weekend’s theme was going to be a platinum-laced Disney100 spectacle, but what we got is a much more diverse and (in our opinion) pleasing theme.

The overall theme is very “Disney” with the usual classic characters featured right up front and all of your favorite park icons sprinkled in the background for a very playful feel.

The individual race themes feature Pluto for the 5k, Chip and Dale on the 10k, Donald and Daisy on the Half, and the main-mice Mickey and Minnie repping the full marathon as usual. For our two cents, the 10k and half are the most visually appealing and we are looking forward to seeing what the medals look like for these races. Also very nice to have all four park icons in the full marathon theme! Which is your favorite theme for the main races?

For you nutty challenge folks, runDisney put out exactly what we would expect for the Dopey Challenge, with the classic purple and green, and a nice tealish theme for Goofy has us tempted in expanding our distance horizons for 2024.

Guess all that’s left now is the anxiety of registration day! You can read all about our experience on Wine & Dine registration day here, and we expect a very similar registration morning for Marathon Weekend.

Which races will you try to grab? Will you be chasing down a challenge for 2024? Let us know in the comments below, we look forward to seeing you there!
